We know how great Pinterest is for finding inspiration for a home project, but how many times have you seen the ‘perfect’ color and can’t figure out what it's called or who sells it? Sherwin Williams has your back.

With their home color tools you can use your inspiration photos to find colors that pair well with your vision or even find similar colors to what you have found online. Keep reading to see how you can use the Sherwin Williams Match a Photo tool to color match your Pinterest finds with paint colors Sherwin Williams sells.

Your first step is to visit Sherwin Williams Website.

Once you reach the home page, use the toolbar across the top of the page to locate “Services & Resources” and click the drop down arrow.

The drop down menu will appear and you will want to click “Home Color Tools”

Scroll down until you see the title, “Try Color in a Virtual Space.” This page offers three great tools to use to be able to visualize a color in your home. The focus of this post is the “Match a Photo” tool. Click “Match a Photo”

Next, you will see another page, click “Match a Photo” again. This is the step where you will need your inspiration photo from Pinterest.

This step will vary depending on the device you are using. On a computer, you will select a photo to match that is saved in your downloads or photos. On a smartphone, you can use a picture right from your camera roll. Once you pick the photo you want to match, upload it and accept Terms of Use.

Clicking anywhere on the photo will populate Sherwin Williams paint colors. You can click and drag to find different colors too! There is also a color palette feature to save the colors you like together.
